Molly Pitcher, Atascadero

I went into Molly Pitcher in Atascadero--right in the heart of the historic Colony District--on a Monday night. It was a quiet night, compared to how packed it is on other nights and enjoyed a pint of Molly Pitcher stout and chatting with owners Kendall Bryson and Brian Vogel. Bryson and Vogel make the beer and run the joint with Bryson's wife.
Tonight, out of 15 beers on tap, two were Molly Pitcher brews: Molly Pitcher Stout and Molly Pitcher Imperial Red. The imperial red is served in a 12-ounce glass, while the stout was served in a pint glass.
The brewery makes a total of five beers: the stout, imperial red, pale ale, IPA and blonde. Bryson said that theMolly Pitcher brews rotate. There are a number of brew by other breweries on tap as well as what is brewed in-house.
"We try and have lots of different and styles up there, and breweries we like to support," Bryson said.
The brewery opened on June 6, 2012, and is open every day from 2 p.m. to midnight.
Molly Pitcher is located at 6760 El Camino Real in Atascadero. To find out more about the brewery, go to www.mollypitcher.net or call 805-460-6454.
